Okay, the title of this post sucks but give the dude a break. The last thing I had published was The Port Huron Statement. The original Port Huron Statement not the compromised second draft. Anyway my special lady friend cooked up some awesome burgers tonight. I would say that these are even better then In N Out burgers. Now all I gotta do is drink a couple caucasians and this will be the end to a good weekday...what day is this? Fuck it!

The Break In Attempt

This morning someone tried to break into my home. Nothing was stolen and the dudes family is shaken but ok. At first dude was really pissed! After the fuzz left, my special lady friend and I were able to calm down and talk about it. This situation as fucked up as it is made me realize how thankful I am for what I have. Dude may have to bust his ass working for the man but I don't have to creep around on cold nights or climb in windows to support my family. Don't get old duder wrong, this has totally messed with the dudes mind but I am glad I had some positive feelings about this shitty situation.

Tour of Watershed Distillery

Thanks to my special lady friend, she and i were able to take a tour of my new favorite spirit provider Watershed Distillery.  This new local distillery started distributing to the Columbus area in December 2010 and currently offers Gin and Vodka.  The tour was the dude, my special lady friend, and Greg the owner.  Greg was a laid back dude and walked us through the process of distilling from start to finish.  We got to smell and guess all the different things that go into the Gin and he even let us stick our noses into a couple batches in different stages of distilling (they were making Gin at the time).  This is a very small operation and Greg even mentioned that he bottles labels and numbers all bottles himself.  I was lucky to get my hands on some first run Gin and Vodka earlier this year both bottles were hand numbered batch "001".  You know the dude suggests a caucasion with Watershed Vodka but Greg likes Watershed Gin with grape fruit soda and a big hunk of ruby red grape fruit.  If you are ever in the Columbus area i highly recommend stopping by a liquor store and picking up a fine Watershed product.  If you are not much of a Gin or Vodka person Watershed is planning to roll out their first run of Whiskey in 2013.  If you would like more info or a recipe for the grape fruit cocktail mentioned above check out watersheddistillery.com

Studio 35

My special lady friend surprised me with a date to studio 35 to see The Big Lebowski! They had cupcakes with little pictures of walter and the russians were non-stop.

BLACK DEATH

Last night was the first tasting of my black berry tequila. I have dubbed this drink BLACK DEATH for its beautiful dark color and its noise burning aroma. All I can say about the taste is it was very surprising and I will be making another batch. Other drinks currently being made, raspberry bounce and clementine bounce (unofficially named golden shower) please note we came up with that name after we drank the BLACK DEATH. We were so into tasting all the new drinks I didn't even crack the seal on the kahlua. I guess that means more russians next time.
